Each year Wanzl produces around 600,000 plastic and and wire baskets for the international retail industry.

This is equivalent to almost one-third of the total of 1.7
million shopping trolleys pro-duced each year, showing that customers are still keen to use shopping baskets. They are complementary to trolleys, particularly for small pur-chases or ‘top-up shopping trips’.
